Read this before you buy Andrea hair loss serum.

The main ingredients are ginger, ginseng, local festival, fleece flower and grape seed oil It is not to be used by pregnant women or children.-our guess is that it may contain chemicals and herbs that may negatively interact with hormones. On the manufacturers site it is recommended that you use at least 3 bottles worth. This makes sense as consistent use is the key to success.

The manufacture state that after 7 uses you should see improvements in hair loss, According to the manufacturer Andrea hair loss serum, “makes hair grow 2-3 times faster than the normal growing speed, make hair smooth and healthy” It states that it should be used by “people whose hair grows slowly, people who need to grow hair faster, or people with inelastic hair, tangled hair dull, hair brittle”

The product is used by mixing about 3 ml of the serum evenly with your regular shampoo (problem chemicals). It is then used as a regular shampoo (This is a problem too as it can’t penetrate the scalp).

It states that it should be used by “people whose hair grows slowly, people who need to grow hair faster, or people with inelastic hair, tangled hair dull, hair brittle”

No clear list of ingredients: on amazon the product ingredients are listed as xyz but the writing on the bottle and directions are in Chinese so it’s not comforting to a non-Chinese reader People in general like this oil but in my opinion the product comes from china The herbs used are not likely organic or In high concentrations so just imagine what using a much larger concentrations could do for your hair-this is why we recommend GRO hair oil How does it work? There are no clear indications from the manufacturer.

There are so clinical studies offered by the manufacturer as well .Although we did find out that some herbs have been used in India for thousands of years to grow hair and prevent hair loss. We also did not find any scientific studies done on Andrea hair oil. The fact that it is made in China does not make things transparent –so we can’t say if it is good or bad. All the directions are in Chines too with no English. This s not reassuring. The FDA has reported that products from china tend to have high heavy metal contents in them and this can lead to unwanted side effects.

Makes your hair oily- it is an oil and so when placed on hair with a shampoo will make it oily.

as a matter of fact, the best way to apply oils is to massage it on the scalp ,  where it penetrates the scalp and can do it's work. Andrea hair serum does not do that as it is mixed with shampoo and shampoo lathers the hair so very little oil gets to the scalp where it does its work.

The negative reviews on amazon say “Made my hair fall out. Sucks Someone else Says “Does not work”

In defense of Andrea hair loss serum, I have to point out that hair loss is an individual thing and there are too many factors that cause it and so not everything is going to help fix it. So you can pay less attention to the “it does not work comments”- There are also some good reviews on amazon that read as follows: “Great product, I am so pleased, and will commend to all that are experiencing thinning hair. Excellent!!!”

You must apply this using a shampoo. This means you need to wash your hair if you use this treatment, this might be inconvenient for most.

Can’t be used on kids- I suspect because ingredients are not all natural.

Low concentration of herbs. There is no mention of the level of concentration of herbs in the oil but if we based ingredients on price. This is because real herbal extracts are expensive so there can’t be much in it. For instance, we do know that a kg of hibiscus extract cost $250 or more and just putting a fraction of it would make it expensive. This is what put us off the most. Generally speaking you get what you pay for $7.9. Let’s put it another way. You can’t go to a super market and buy extra virgin grape seed oil or coconut oil for $7 and yet this has herbs in it and grape seed oil and its only $7.  Again , this says that the herbs in it have to be in small amounts that may have no effect whatsoever on your hair.

Point is, it can’t be that potent or effective as it should or could be.

Andrea hair loss serum is ok for the price but if you are going to use hair oils it oils best you use one that has all the right herbs in it and in all the right concentrations. We looked far and wide and the one that really got our attention was a product called GRO hair oil.

Gro Hair oil® (see “A” in chart) was tested against two other herbal formulations (B and C in chart) in a randomized double-blind placebo-controlled study to evaluate the effectiveness of hair oil in the management of hair loss. The oils were tested on 192 adults, male and female, with diffuse hair loss, defined as losing 60 hairs or more daily. Researchers measured hair density, elasticity, strength, and fragility. Also after 8 weeks of use, the Gro™ Hair Oil reduced hair loss by 75%, cut down on dandruff by 71%, alleviated itching by 98%, and increased moisture 133%, which can give hair a shinier and more lustrous look.
