Herbal Synergy
- Eyebright Herb has anti-catarrhal properties by combining astringent and anti-inflammatory properties. It has been used to remedy a variety of eye inflammations, as well as minor injuries to the eye and surrounding tissue. It has also been used to remedy eye infections and blurred vision.
- Bayberry contains an antibacterial compound called Berberine that can be used externally. It can be used as a compress to remedy eye inflammation. It is an astringent and therefore dries mucous membranes. It has antiviral, antibacterial, anti-inflammatory, and stimulating properties, as well as encouraging the creation of new, healthy eye tissue.
- Red Raspberry possesses anti-viral and anti-bacterial effects for the eyes. It's high in calcium, potassium, phosphorus, iron, manganese, and vitamins A, B, C, and E. It is a tonic astringent, antibacterial, and has anti-inflammatory effects. It nourishes and cleanses while encouraging the creation of new, healthy eye tissue.
- Goldenseal is a herb that is used to heal the mucous membranes. It has also been used to remedy eye irritations. Berberine is also found in goldenseal, which is antibacterial, antifungal, anti-inflammatory, and astringent. It is utilized to remedy infections and reduce inflammation.
- Marshmallow soothes irritated mucous membranes of the eyes. Its healing powers are due to its ability to soothe and lubricate (due to its mucilage content).
Suggested Use
For Consumption: Add one teaspoon in 2 cups of boiled filtered water. Steep for 7 minutes then strain. Use 3-4 times daily.
As Eye Wash: Allow the tea to cool. Then sift out the herbs and use the tea as an eye wash (use an eye cup). Use 1-2 times a day.

Importantly, the form in which you receive the herbs, whether powdered or loose, does not affect their potency. Both forms maintain their efficacy and herbal properties.

Teas or Tinctures?
Tinctures are best for strong medicinal activity, convenience, and long-term storage. An herbal tincture will have about 90% plant essence in it.
Herbal Teas are not as potent as tinctures, but they can be very effective for calming the nervous system, soothing the stomach, and brightening the mood. A herbal tea will have approximately 10% plant essence in it.
It’s best to combine them both.
NOTE: HERBS MAY COME IN EITHER LOOSE HERB OR POWDERED FORM. Any form does not affect their potency. Both forms maintain their efficacy and herbal properties.
