An interesting story behind Sea Buckthorn Berry.

It dates back to ancient Greek times, where wounded horses were placed in a forest to die. But after a few days, when the owners returned, their horses had all their vigor and health back from eating sea buckthorn berries. We don’t know if the story is true, but the research and studies attribute this to the amazing benefits of the berries, especially when it comes to the skin.

Herbal Synergy

Sea Buckthorn Seed Oil is well known for its anti-aging benefits for the skin and body. It is known to repair oxidative damage. It acts to help hydrate the skin and also to promote the formation of collagen which is needed for youthful skin.

Gotu Kola is well known to help repair veins on the skin. This trait is possible due to its ability to penetrate into the deep layers of the skin.  It has been traditionally used on varicose veins, and also helps to reduce the appearance of cellulite by shrinking the connective tissues that tend to bind fat cells underneath the skin.

Almond Oil can improve complexion and skin tone. It's highly emollient, which means it helps to balance the absorption of moisture and water loss. Because it is antibacterial and full of vitamin A, almond oil can be used to treat acne.

Beeswax creates a protective layer on the skin.  It offers humectant properties, which means that it retains moisture while also preserving the overall properties of the salve.  It is also a natural exfoliator, making it ideal for removing dead skin cells.

Orange Essential Oil is used to help promote the production of collagen. It is also used to increase blood flow to the skin.  Orange essential oil is helpful for soothing dry, irritated skin, and acne-prone skin. It has a wonderful touch of orange smell. 

Coconut Oil is hydrating, smoothing, and protects the skin.

These oils are in Almond Oil and Rosehip Oil. We then added Vitamin E (vitamin E is a powerful antioxidant known to be effective at reducing UV damage in skin), Grapefruit Seed Extract (natural preservative), Beeswax Seed Extract, and Sweet Orange Essential Oil to create a salve. They are handcrafted and do not contain any chemicals.

Directions

Apply on to affected or desired area. Use salve 2 times daily.
