I recently received a question about how to heal colitis.
Colitis is lymphatic stagnation in the G.I tract. Meaning, in simple words, you’re burning from the inside, out. You got interstitial lymphatic stagnation and the metabolic acids through cellular wastes are trapped and burning tissue.
This happens when we eat too much protein, starches, animal products, processed and cooked foods. These foods tend to make the body acidic which in turn slows down lymph flow which traps those acids.
When your lymphatic system isn’t working properly, you come backed up with the acids staying inside you. The acids are burning your tissues, organs and glands. These acids and stagnant lymph flow will also affect the kidneys which are the body’s main filtration system – it is a big vicious cycle
So to heal this you want to get the body alkaline by switching your diet.
You want to switch to 100% fruits for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. At the start of your new diet, I recommend you stick with the sweeter fruits like dates, or figs, and apples, and then gradually work up to the stronger, more astringent, citrus fruits to work on the lymph.
You should use some herbs for the kidneys, adrenals, lymphatic system, endocrine system, stomach and bowels. These 5 things are systematic, so if one isn’t functioning properly, the rest isn’t either. Your adrenals and kidney health are crucial when it comes to healing colitis.
Healing your colitis will be a long journey because the damage is deep down in the tissue. Stay true to your diet and herbs and most importantly, be patient. Healing will not happen over night
